Wai Wai's tips. =D

Different people may show many different emotions and different feelings in each day.

So here's some of my own experience on how to detect a change in a person's usual self, and that they seem to have personal problems bugging them. =D I think it's good to share it out, rather than hide it in my own pocket or something. Lol.

-----------------------------------------------

1) Expressions

The most obvious to detect and I think the most common way of knowing whether someone (who are close to you) is hurt or moody: Sour and bitter faces, or stoning and blank faces. Even more obvious when the person is usually the very hyper and happy type. Eg: Dru, Lisa, Amanda, Liang Zhi.....wait how come all are my team members... @_@

Exceptions where it won't work:
  • Jokers who have nothing to do but make them purposely all of a sudden.
  • People who doesn't smile much and likes to daydream.
  • People who keeps smiling all the way be it happy or sad (that's me! LOL).
  • Tired people
  • New comers
  • Busy people

2) Actions

Usually a person not in his/her usual self would show signs with their actions. Body language plays a very big role in this aspect: Sluggish and lagging actions during times like games, fiddling and playing with their items, 'i-dun-really-care' actions like folding your arms.

Exceptions where it won't work:
  • Tired people
  • New comers
3) Speech

Usually a person not in his/her usual self would start to speak in sarcastic/'what-you-want' tones. You can hear that they are frustrated in the way they speak and the language they use, slow and 'blur' in responding, and shows illogical responses during the conversation, and they seem to hint that they want to be left alone. In the MSN context, it also works: Less emoticons than usual, very short sentences, and very provoking/angry/upset nicknames. In the blog context, it would be unhappy posts.

Exceptions where it won't work:
  • Tired people
  • New comers
  • Busy people
----------------------------------------------------

Hope that this post would let you all have some form of idea in helping out others in the future. =D
