Sheeps and sheeps.

Defenceless as sheep are we,
That without God, we are virtually useless,
Only to be preyed on by the wicked.

I'm not making this up,
It can be found as a quote in the bible.

And I was thinking about it a few days ago.
The kinds of sheep there could be.

I managed to have the idea of 3 types:

1st type: "The glutton sheep which eats to its death".

This is one type of sheep which without a shepeard, would indulge itself in the beautiful green pastures, ignoring its surroundings. It would just graze, graze and graze the grass till it gets blown up in size. It doesn't know when to stop.

And it is so true in this real world, where people who have not accepted God in their hearts are wasting their lives away for meaningless items such as cars, jewellery, gambling, video games, DVDs. They get choked up over all these and finally succumb to fantasy.

2nd type: "The sheep which gets preyed".

This is the type where without its owner, gets hunted down by a pack of wolves or other predators out in the wild.

With resemblence to the modern world, non-christians are getting influenced by their other non-christian friends, spouses, relatives etc.
In the end, they may end up being cheated, abused or have their lives entirely decimated, be it through gamblings, fact distortions or hypocricy.

3rd type: "The sheep which provides wool".

In order for a sheep to be grown strong and provide good wool, this is where a good shepeard comes into place. The shepeard leads the multitude into the grasslands, helping them observe for any signs of dangers.

Jesus is our shepeard.
He is the only one who will never ever deserts us.
He is the one who will always tell us the difference between the world and God.
He is the one who loved and cared us so much.

It is because of Jesus,
That many true christians walked the way of the light,
And gave it all to Him through their services and ministry.

So...
Which sheep are you going to be?
