Before the world begun

Sitting on the throne,
You, our mighty Lord,
Looked at the vast emptiness below,
And pondered upon creation.

You made the light,
The waters, the land,
And the air.
Animals conquered the ground,
And birds ruled the skies.

But You said:
It's not enough.

The thoughts of Your images praising You
Came to Your mind.
And You were joyful.
You mould us from the dust of the earth,
And gave us the holy breath of life.

Father,
Here we are now,
Exalting Your name on high.
